Pool Rules
All members and guests must register upon entering
the pool. Guest passes are available for purchase
at $5.00 each or in a set of five
passes for $20.00. The passes may be used any time. Children 2 years and younger will not be
charged a guest fee.
ABSOLUTELY
NO GLASS IS ALLOWED ON POOL PROPERTY (I.E. BOTTLES, MUGS, ETC.)
The pool will be closed during thunderstorms. At
the sound of thunder or the sighting of lightening, the
pool will be evacuated and will remain closed for 15
minutes from the last sighting of lightening or sound of
thunder. The pool manager may close the pool during bad
weather. On
rainy days, call the pool before you come.
Limit of ten swimmers playing “cross pool” at a
time.
Water wings are allowed in the shallow end only.
AN ADULT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL CHILDREN WEARING WATER
WINGS.
The following activities are prohibited in the pool
and deck area: running,
excessive splashing and horseplay, dunking, chicken fights,
diving in the shallow area, back dives, back jumps, and
running jumps into the pool. Swimmers may jump into the pool from two (2)
NORMAL
steps away. NO THROWING OBJECTS IN THE POOL area
unless authorized by a lifeguard.
The following items are prohibited in the pool area: Gum, glass objects, rafts, kick boards
and super soaker water guns (only small hand held water guns
allowed). No water toys allowed in the building. Absolutely no food or beverages allowed
in the pool. Snorkels
and flippers may be worn at the pool manager’s discretion.
Persons with open sores, wounds, rashes, bandages
(not Band-Aids), or infectious diseases are not allowed in
the pool.
No drugs or alcohol allowed on ARA property.
Children under twelve (12) years of age must be accompanied
by a parent or responsible person who is 14 years or older.
LIFEGUARDS MAY NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR
YOUNGER SIBLINGS WHILE ON DUTY AT THE FACILITY.
No disposable diapers (pampers, etc.) may be worn in
the pool. Cloth
diapers must have waterproof outer covering. Terry cloth plastic pants are permissible. Swimmers
are what is recommended.
NO
ONE OVER 7 YEARS OF AGE ALLOWED IN THE BABY POOL. PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT IN THE BABY POOL AND THE
SHALLOW END OF THE BIG POOL WHEN CHILDREN UNDER 7 YEARS OR
AGE ARE IN THE WATER.
Only one person allowed on the diving board at a
time. Ten years
and younger must be able to swim and have parental consent
before using the diving board. Diving well must be clear before standing on the
diving board. No
bouncing on the diving board.
No swimming in the diving well unless authorized by a
lifeguard. No
crawling or playing underneath the diving board. Divers must dive straight off the board.
The lifeguard will call “adult swim” (18 years
and older) every hour for ten minutes. Adults with infants and toddlers may take them into
the water at this time.
LENGTHY
CONVERSATIONS WITH ON DUTY LIFEGUARDS IS STRICTLY
PROHIBITED.
Only pool attire may be worn in the pool. T-shirts allowed but no jean shorts.
Volleyball players must wash sand off their feet
before entering the pool. Volleyball courts are for ARA members and paid guests
only.
Individuals 15 years and older are allowed on the
upper deck. No food and beverages are allowed on the
upper deck.
Instructions by the lifeguards MUST be obeyed at
all times. MANAGERS
AND LIFEGUARDS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE THE POOL RULES. POOL MANAGERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISCIPLINARY
ACTIONS - ANY INFRACTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO REVIEW BY THE
POOL’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHERE ADDITIONAL ACTIONS MAY
BE TAKEN. DISCIPLINARY
ACTION COULD INCLUDE SUSPENSION FROM THE POOL.
It
is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian for
the monitoring of any internet activity conducted by their
child/guest while using the wireless internet at ARA. We
provide this as a service for our members and your
cooperation is necessary if this service is to continue.
Individuals not on the pool deck are unsupervised. This
includes parking areas and volleyball pits.
ARA
is a family oriented organization; therefore we have zero
tolerance for improper behavior, profanity and
intoxication.
SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON ARA PROPERTY.
