This
advice is particularly important for children,
because 80% of all sun exposure occurs before the
age of 18.
Stay
in the shade during peak sun hours
UV
rays are at their strongest between 10am and 4pm.
Wear
a hat
A
stylish, broad-brimmed number will protect your ears
as well as your neck and face. Sunglasses are a good
idea, too. And don't forget the sunscreen.
Choose
a broad-spectrum sunscreen
You
need protection against both UVB and UVA rays.
Sunscreens that contain Parsol®
1789 or Zinc Oxide provide protection throughout
the UVA spectrum. Don't just trust the
marketing. Look for the proper active
ingredients.
Reapply
sunscreen
Apply
your sunscreen 30 minutes before you go out in the
sun, and then reapply at least every 2 hours.
